Default Potential Problem with My B9!

Hi guys,

I have owned my A4 for a few years now and I have been experiencing a slight problem with the way it drives for a while now.

The car seems to be very jerky and lurches at low speeds, almost like the clutch is having issues grabbing. It is annoying taking off from traffic lights because I have to apply way more acceleration than I should and it also jerks when downshifing into gear 2 and 1.

I have the 1.4L engine with DSG. FWD (Out of Warranty)

If anyone else has experiences anything similar let me know. Also any suggestions would be nice.

yeah, not good to hear someone with the same issue, I guess its either how the transmission is set up or maybe some faulty units? not too sure, still annoying though.

A4's are known to be a bit jerky at low revs. Are you noticing it because its different from what it used to be like, or has it always been there?

How many miles on the car?
How many miles on the current oil?
How many miles on the current trans fluid...and if applicable did you do the DSG flush on-schedule? (Service schedule calls for it 40,000 miles on the 2.0T; not sure on the 1.4 without looking.)

40,000km on it, its following its service plan, Im not too sure exactly what the oil and transmission fluid kms are. Due for a service in 5,000km

Just wanted to hear any other owners if this sounds normal

It has always been there, for some reason only now I pay attention to it.
