Refreshed 2020 A4
Quick review of the refreshed A4. I’m not in love with the new sheet metal. But I will wait to see it in person.
I also prefer the MMI and not a touch screen.
Thoughts?

I'm probably going to get one... unless I get a Q5 or can somehow squeeze an A6 into my budget, this is going to be the default choice at the end of my lease on the 2017...

I still dislike it compared to the previous edition. It was already discussed thoroughly here. I'm not exactly upset about it though. Makes me appreciate my purchase of the "original" B9 even more than I already did, lol. Nothing worse than dropping some serious cash on a new car only to have one you like more come out right behind it. Looks like I'll be more than satisfied with my purchase at least until the B10 is released (and judging from Audi's latest designs, I have nothing to worry about with the B10 in a few years).

The only thing I’m liking about it is the mild hybrid - sounds like it should make the start/stop of the engine much smoother and seamless. Aside from that the front end doesn’t look great and I can pass on the touch screen and the new virtual cockpit graphics.

I never experience the start/stop feature anyways because I drive in sport mode at all times, haha. The hybrid could be cool, but would undoubtedly be better if we got the 48V system the Euros get. Throw an APR tune on there and you won't think twice about missing the hybrid system.

Is there not a button to disable it like the us dual-clutch variants have? Also, I'm fairly confident that it can be permanently disabled via Obd11.

I love my A4 6MT. I plan to wait until the B10 (or later?) before I "upgrade". But if something happened to my car and I had to replace it in 2020, I would be fine with getting another A4. Nothing in the refresh will make me very envious of anyone with a 2020 while I keep my 2017. I like the look of the front end of the 2017 better than the 2020, but as I watched the video I found myself disliking the appearance less and less--and anyway I wouldn't have to look at the front end while I enjoyed driving it!
