Default Fit and Finish Issue

My e-tron premium plus, vin 8xxx, has a panel that sticks out at the bottom of the driver's and the passenger's doors. I wonder how it passed inspection at the factory. Or possibly, it had minor collision when en route. Obviously, I didn't notice the problem when I picked it up from the dealer's last month. Has anyone else taken delivery of a car with this problem?

It's within spec!

Oh, wait, not a Tesla ...

It's probably just a clip at the bottom, either broken or popped out.

Have you contacted the dealer yet?

Haha! Thanks for the suggestion. That sounds likely, and could be an easy paintless repair. Will find out tomorrow when I take it in.

Now you got my attention. I found the same issue on my driver’s side. Exactly like your picture. I wiggle it to see if it is a loose panel, but it does not appear to be loose. Seems to me that the plastic is deformed. I will try a heat gun to gently warm it up and push it in place flush with the rear panel and call it a day..

I wouldn't mess with it. Just let the people who made it make it right! You paid $80K+.

If its under warranty have the dealer fix it. If you try and fail you will likely not be able to get it warrantied.

Just picked up my E-Tron and noticed this issue as well on both front doors. Made an appointment with the local dealer to resolve this issue.
