My 2012 Audi Q5 3.2L engine is making an unusual rattling/clicking noise that it didn't use to do before. The vehicle is at 96K miles right now. Has anyone experienced this issue before? If so, did you find out what the issue was? I have included a yoitube video that demonstrates the noise.

The 3.2L direct injection design requires a high fuel line pressure. The noise on your video is most likely your high pressure fuel pump or injectors. I’ve read some of these engines run pressures upwards of 2000 psi, where as a standard port injection style engine runs around 45 psi.
I have a 2011 with the 3.2 and it sounds the same. A quick google search for “high pressure fuel pump tick” will turn up lots of other videos and forum conversations about the same type of noise not just on Audi’s but tons of other vehicles utilizing similar engine designs. Seems to come with the territory.
