Anyone happen to know what it costs a dealer to do a safety inspection on a trade in?

In my experiences, the audi dealer manager just walked around my car .......
checking my body damages and then wrote my VIN number, went back to office and ran some kind of carfax type of reports.
After that, they gave a lowest price ever to sell a car back to dealer.
