Audi service near Irvine?
Anyone have recommendations for independent service shops in the Irvine area? I'm a long-time Mercedes owner but am concerned my Audi owning neighbor (2006 A6 wagon) is being seriously overcharged for service. I hope I can convince him to join the forum as I think one repair discussed here will save him more than $1K.

I guess I should say I have his blessing to ask about this. He is an older gentleman and welcomes advice from other owners. I'm on forums for my vehicles and know what a wealth of information is available on these boards.
The repair figures he is quoting me don't feel right - actually I have to say they are jaw dropping. I would know where to send him for Mercedes repairs but Audis are outside my wheelhouse so I turned to you to get the ball rolling.
I've sent him a link to the forum and will encourage him to join when he returns from Europe. He's a fascinating guy but I'm not sure he has a reliable sounding board regarding repairs. I only hear about them after the fact and the numbers are very disconcerting. At minimum, a second opinion from a reputable indie would be a huge step in the right direction.

Well Irvine is distance from Pasadena. If your open to it you should try Independent Audi & VW Service Inc. in Pasadena: http://www.independentaudi.com/
With Indie Audi & VW your looking to saving about 20% to 45%.
To top it off Fares is a Audi specialist.
His experience extent back to Audi of Rusnak days.

Thanks to you both.
Pasadena is too far but I appreciate anyone taking time to reply.
I'll shoot over to audizine.com but will still be looking for replies here.
My neighbor is in Germany for awhile so this is a lower priority at the moment but I would like to have a few local options for him when he returns. Probably should start talking to Audi owners with pride of ownership I see in parking lots...
