What is the closest good audi mechanic to Santa Barbara?
 

I have an 06 A6 Avant with rdiculously low gas mileage, and the dealer can't diagnose it. I really want to fix this as having 12/22 gas mileage on a new 3.2 is very bad. I am thinking there might be a bigger problem.

if your dealer can't figure it out then find a new dealer!!

there is no way in hell you should have to go to an indie shop and pay for them to find a problem.

just curious... did this happen suddenly? or did you have any repairs/upgrades done and then noticed it?

I took out the airbox in exchange for an open-air filter...
 

which another guy did on his A6, and reported an increase in gas mileage. As soon as I noticed the problem, I put everything back to factory (double checked by the dealer), but the problem didn't go away.

I would take it to a different dealer before an indie shop personally...
 

You did remove the lead from your shoe correct?
