Default Can I just replace springs and not the shocks?

I am looking to just lower my car. I have a 2008 B7 A4 2.0T. Can I just put in sport springs and fix my alignment and just wear out my stock shocks? or is it worth it to just get sport springs and shocks installed at once?

Any recommendations for either?

Thanks in advance

Default Matched sets.

First, the labor for both is no more than for just springs.

Next, people always underestimate the need to match springs to shocks. You will have an under-damped system. It will handle worse and ride worse than matched.

Finally, short springs mean that the shock piston will bottom out, and could be damaged.
