Default CV Joint Shredding Problems

2004 A6 C5. Rebuilt after a font-end accident that impacted the left-front drive wheel and ruptured the CV joint. Frame seems straight, suspension and control arms seem straight. Installed a new drive axle to what looked like original alignment and spec's but it lasted less than 500 miles before the CV boot shredded. Thinking it was defective part, replaced again, and second replacement lasted less than 1,000 miles. The rubber boot just tears apart. No unusual binding at the joint, no unusual noise while driving or turning. Audi/VW certified mechanic cannot find a problem and suspects "engine/driveline geometry". I can't keep replacing CV's at this pace. Anyone else heard of this / ideas of cause?
