2008 A6 3.2 Rear Suspension and TIE ROD
Hi,
I have been working on Audis for fun about 8 years now. I changed my 2008 A6 Quattro 3.2l front suspension last week.
I would like to change the rear shocks which looks easy. The rear suspension tie rod or control arm looks bad and I would like to replace those also. However when reading the manual it says I will need to remove the coil springs.
Is this true? I don't want to buy a $1,500 Audi tool to change the coils on my car. Can I just lock the coil to keep it from expanding more?
Thoughts.
