Suspension part replacement game
 

I finished a complete replacement of the front end on my B5 A4, bearings, tie rods, control arms with poly bushings, coilovers, the works. Its wonderful. A friend asked me to start on his. He doesn't have the cash to do the whole thing in one go and had me start with his coilovers and bearings (I told him this was a bad idea). He took it in and had it aligned. He texted me telling me the car sounds worse than ever! is it possible the new suspension components installed are causing other components to go bad faster or does anyone else have any ideas? Driving it before and after Before I could hear bearing grinding, thunking in the struts, and what felt like slop in the tie rods. After the work the thunking from the struts is gone, grinding is gone, tie rod slop is still there and now is sounds like lower ball joints??? could the new components cause them to fail faster?
