That doesn't look good... Change the filter on the tranny and put in new fluid, are my suggestions.
Tranny fluid in Audi vehicles isn't red. In fact, in my C6, there are 3 different types of tranny fluid that can be used and none are red in color. You need to confirm what tranny fluid you need exactly. For example, used ZF lifeguard 8. Go to the B5 forum and leverage the search function, good luck.
