2008 Audi A6 estate 2.0 TDI Engine issues ?
Hi all Im new here could someone please help before I sell my car as it seams like will cost a fortune.
First issue. When driving it seams like the car is driving in the wrong gear its multietronic gearbox so trying to manually change gear down but never does. Because of this when trying to stop it seams like fighting the engine. When looking at the engine at the front there is a link attached to a black thing not sure of name was told has something to do with vacuumed system?
when looking at the engine it's the thing in front of the oil dip stick with the black hose attached? This item doesn't move at all but does on a friends car would that cause the issues badly discribed lol ?
Please any help would be great
Regards
Sean

Hi Sean and welcome on board.
It may sound like there could be a vacuum hose leak or it has completely jumped off, but its only guessing.
The best advise would be to ask around if some have VAG-COM/VCDS to run a diagnostic on the car. Its the same for Volkswagen and Audi cars, so maybe even somebody in your neighborhood has it, or a friend of a friend.
Could also be an idea to post in the A6 forum, as it sounds more like a gearbox problem, and there isn't much activity in the TDI forum.
