Rumor is that there may be a 3.2 tdi for the US (in the Q7). The fact that American consumers look at horsepower and not torque was one of the reasons. Anyone (everyone I'm sure) know more about this?

from a "friend" at the dealership. He seemed quite certain of himself. I've seen information on a 2.7, 3.0, 4.2, and some others, but nothing about a possible bump to 3.2. I thought if I threw it out here someone would back it up. Guess not. I'll take the 4.2tdi please.

not that they raved about it, maybe they are playing it down as its not available US side.
I think most of what was written could have been said of the 4.2FSI except it comes with buckets of torque and fuel economy.

I read somewhere that torque for the A4 will actually be less than the Q7, like 369 lb.ft.
