Audi 3.0 TDI v6 vs. Mercedes V6 Bluetec Diesels
Hi Folks
I'm new to Audi forums and am interested in buying a 2011-2014 Q5 or Q7 with a diesel, I am also looking at the ML SUV Benz with the V6 Bluetec diesel. I am aware of many of the problems / issues with the Benz Bluetec's but am not familiar with the Audi V6 diesel problems that I may have to deal with in future. I currently have a diesel 06 Benz E class inline 6 CDI, it is a great motor so far, so I am familiar with some of the basics with a diesel.
I am a DIY person: work such as oil changes, fuel filters, brakes, transmission fluid changes, water pumps, idler pulley, etc and I would hope to do this type of work on a Q series.
Based on what I read so far the Audi TDi V6 seems to have fewer long term concerns but I though I would ask the "experts" for their opinions on the V6.
