Default Did any VW owners do buybacks on cars with electronic issues?

I'm not stripping the thing, and I have no real reason to keep the new tires or slotted brakes that I installed, so surely they wont care that the MMI acts up on this thing?

Did anybody on the VW side who already turned it back in have some imperfections on their car?

A quick search here reveals nothing, and a google search of denied buybacks shows one idiot tried to turn in a vehicle that had caught on fire, and of course we've heard about the guy who literally stripped his VW to the frame. Those were denied. That makes sense.

But for smaller issues - anybody here heard of anything?

I had hit road debris right before buyback, with a cracked bumper, destroyed fog light and dangling side marker.. I also swapped out the navigation of my 13 with my wifes 10 because it was newer interface, with better bluetooth and fresher maps.. I didnt even bother to put the code in for her radio when I turned it back in..

Gave it back with a trailer hitch, a tune, no interior lighting (moved LED's to wifes car), brand new runflats, and a battery that wouldent last longer than a few days off the charger.

The buyback specialist could had cared less, he started the car.. took a photo of the gauge cluster with it running.. then toook a picture of the vin, and then one of the whole car and came back in; my wife hadent even came out of the restroom yet and he was entirely done with the car.. few more mins of paperwork and a couple signatures and we were back on the road heading home... 15mins tops
