I have a 2001 ar whicyh I've upgraded to Sym II. We just added in the BT module version "G". We know this HW is good because we tested it at one point in another Audi. Followed NSXjr/Teddy's info and retained original mic.

Works fine but seems to have a BT weakness - closer any phone is to the module, better the sound is - sometimes while driving, sound both ways gets bad. This might be a bad antenna, I will try replacing it.

The big kink is that my 7135e won't download the phone book. A VZW RAZR will, but mine won't, and I just upgraded the FW to 4.1.0.268 on the handset. No diff as far as that goes.

When a call comes in I get the 10-digit string but no Caller ID, and when I press the R/T button I hear "phone book empty".

Any suggestions? Anyone with a 7135e? Any different experiences?

I looked on www.navplus.us and the list there of tested phones doesn't list the 7135.

I sound better with mic at -4dB... but still no phonebook.

I'm in the same boat. Love the VZW service...but don't like when they disable OBEX because they want to sell you other services in its place.

I thought that but not all VZW phones have this issue - later 710s, RAZRs, and E815s download ok.
