97 Audi A4 has no AM radio reception... HELP!
 

I'd like to fix an issue with no AM in my A4. The stock antenna plug won't fit generic radios so there is some kind of an antenna adapter in the car right now and I'm wondering if that is the issue.

I don't have the original radio any more so I can't test it without the adapter. I've had a couple different radios in it and neither had AM so I don't think it's the radio's fault.

Anyone experienced this and resolved it???

my '01 A4's oem radio doesn't pull AM stations
 

but that doesn't really help you. I just had to check out the telematics forum to see what it was.
