Default A4 Radio Mute

Hi Guys,
I have a audi a4 2003 cabriolet with the following.
RNS-E with cd changer / Bose, also i have a nokia cark-91 phone kit which mutes the radio on incoming call etc,the phone kit has the yellow mute wire which connects to the head unit but i can not get it to work,i know that the mute on the head set is D11 but this does not work, Any ideas where to put this yellow wire.

Default Does the Nokia have Mute to ground?

The RNS-E needs a ground signal to mute and it needs to be coded for phone support. You can check if it's coded properly if you ground D11. If it doesn't then check the coding in #56.

Default Re: Does the Nokia have Mute to ground?

Before i had the RNS-E i had the symphony II head unit and had the Yellow wire from my Nokia connected to the mute terminal on the back and it worked fine, I had "PHONE" appear on the head unit display and on the dash display.
Do i need to run D11 to ground and then connect the yellow wire to the same?

Default If it worked with the Symphony II then it's the correct signal

The ground wire is just a quick test if muting works at all. It shouldn't be connected to gorund all the time. Check the RNS-E coding in #56, set 0xxx2xx or 0xxx6xx to make the RNS-E look for a phone kit.

yes, or the dealer can check it with his tools.
