A6 fuse box fire
 

My drivers side dash fuse box is mostly melted a long with several wires. A "mechanic" I knew cut out the fuse box. The entire box needs to be replaced and wired. Any idea how much this may cost ? Any suggestions on what I should do or where to go ?

Go to your local Audi dealer and tell them important things like model, year, and engine type and they'll be able to give you an estimate... Since you didn't share any of those with us here.
