Anyone ever hear of or see a HRS-GT5 to FAKRA adapter?

Anyone ever hear of or see a HRS-GT5 to FAKRA adapter?
I've looked high and low online but absolutely no luck. Trying to use the factory submarine/fin antenna for GPS (I have a blue connection in the side of the hatch) rather than the included Kenwood GPS antenna. Of course the Kenwood/Garmin uses the square HRS connector and the factory GPS antenna is FAKRA (or SMB?)--so not compatible.
I read somewhere about someone cutting off an HRS end and changed it to a BNC to connect to some other type of antenna with a BNC connection but I was hoping there was an easier way to do this rather than fiddle around with stripping RG-174 which is pretty thin/small.

If you can find a universal adaptor for the HRS-GT5, maybe this will work???
...see items 188 and 189 on the list (female/male FAKRA to universal)

Universal FAKRA adaptor

Re: If you can find a universal adaptor for the HRS-GT5, maybe this will work???
Hey thanks. That looks like a FAKRA to FME adapter, and I've seen FAKRA to FME and HRS-GT5 to FME adapters but then I'd need an FME coupler too, to join the ends I guess. I was thinking about trying that, but it seems a bit roundabout.
I'm reading a bit about Mercedes cars with COMAND though and apparently the COMAND units have GT5 nav antenna connections but some MBs actually use an antenna that has FAKRA connectors on output, so in these cars MB themselves used a FAKRA to GT5 cable, which seems to be exactly what I need.
Hopefully I can get a definite part number on that and see how much it costs from an MB dealer and maybe I'll be in business

Ah yes, found something from the mercedes forums...
...there is a bunch of reference information about the GT5 and the FAKRA connectors, with some part numbers listed for various components.
Best of luck finding what you need! At the very least, don't rule out just crimping the coax to the conectors you need...yes they are small, but it is not impossible with the right tools!

http://www.mercupgrades.com/COMAND+Retrofit-article-1.html</a
