anyone use HP6945 phone with Audi Bluetooth ?
Wondering if phone is fully functional, including Phonebook SYNC (not just hands free like my Sprint PPC6700).

The 6940 supports OPP, not sure about the 6945. OPP should work with your S4.
If not, the phone most likely supports AT+ commands anyway (most do), so you should get PB access.
I don't know that you get 'sync' with the NAV+ anyway. I don't think it has a directory to import to, but I'll check on my wife's A4.

Thanks for the feedback, but whats "OPP" ?
... and I probably mis-phrased my original question. What I really want is for the Audi bluetooth to TRANSFER the phone book entries from the cell phone into the car's system, so I can display these phonebook entries on my display (between tach and speedo - I do not have NAV display)and use the steering wheel roller/buttons to select and dial numbers.
I think you've suggested that should work Ok ...(?)
Thanks.

The car reading the PB from the phone is what you're after...
There is no permanent transfer occurring, it's all done in real time.
MMI systems have a feature where you can import the phone's contacts into the car's built-in directory for use with ANY phone, not just the one they came from.
OPP is a Bluetooth mechanism (related to OBEX) to send data from your device.
Verizon is famous for disabling it from their phones as a 'security risk'. Most new BT car kits use Serial AT+ commands (like a computer modem) to read Phone books.
My wife's A4 has this and consequently is able to read my Phone's phone book. However, it disappears as soon as the Bluetooth connection is broken such as when you turn the car off or simply walk far enough away. I would expect your car to work the same, NAV or no NAV.
My A6, saddled with the lesser OPP-only BT kit, can not read my phone's contacts at all. Her unlocked GSM RAZR works in both cars.

My HP 6515
I only get audio transfer, but I do not get the phonebook or last/missed/dialed calls, do not get carrier info or signal bars.
Let me know if you get the 6945 and works.
Thanks

I've got HP6945 on order.
I've got HP6945 on order - from Amazon so I can return it if desired. I'll let you know if it works (fully). Will probably arrive in 1-2 weeks, so check back later.

RAD2 - HP6945 Contacts list IS AVAILABLE (via BT) on Audi display
and selectable via thumb wheel. Seems to work. (not sure if I'll keep the phone, though)
