firmware update for 07 s4 ???
I just purchased a 07 s4 and would like to get rid of the nag message....would it be as simple as installing a 200 firmware upgrade with the latest dvd or is there more to it??
sorry for the basic question but the more I read the more questions I have...
thanks

you just need a newer version DVD...
I am assuming that your nav came with the car. All you need is to find someone local to yout hat has the 2007 (or the most recent version) RNS-E dvd. Just insert the disk, and it should automatically update the firmware to 150 (or 200 if the most recent update). That will remove the nag screen upon startup, even if you use your 2006 DVD after the udpate is complete.
Try your regional foruma and see if anyonwe is willing to meet you so you can do this 3 minute task.

I think your glovebox has a nice little built-in cubby for the DVD player...
...and you should consider the multi-media package sold by Proxus....very nice compact unit!

probably, but you can fit so much more on a single SD card (2 SD slots behind the RNS-E screen)
...since converting to the MP3 format and the SD cards, I have yet to use the CD changer again, so I'll probably take that thing out of my car anyway.
I have about 40 albums on each SD card...which is almost 7 times the amount of music you can hold in the 6-disc changer.
For VIM, I recommend that you send it out to Proxus or NSX_JR (or any of the other RNS-E gurus) to have the VIM coded on the unit.
