a funny thing about navi & ck3100
Ok ok - so maybe I'm living in the past with a factory CD Nav and no Map display... but hey - it gets me where I need to go.
However... an interesting quandry came about the other day when I installed my CK3100 kit from parrot.
While the kit works great and the phone works great with it... I cannot have my cake and eat it too!
If I hook up the Parrot to the +,-,mute connections on the back of my Bose S-II (through the brown and green parrot line out & mute wires) head unit, I can hear the caller throught he speakers, the radio mutes etc.
As soon as the Navi is hooked up as well - i.e. on the Navi +,-,F pins, the audio for the phone does not come through....
So why is it that the factory nav conflicts with the phone and why must I choose one or the other.
For now I'm using an amplified speaker for the phone, but would love to figure out a way to have my cake... and eat it too.

If you have the old DIS only BNS navi...
The OEM phone is connected to the OEM BNS navi, if you have both, and not to the head unit even though there are pins for both the phone and the navi on the head unit. Your Parrot should be connected to the BNS unit so that the navi stops talking when you get/make a phone call.

Re: If you have the old DIS only BNS navi...
I'm trying like hell to decipher your post.
let's put it this way -
the pins that operate are as follows
A
B C
D E
F
A = Phone Mute
B & C = +,- Phone
D & E = +,- Navi
F = Navi control/mute
So what am i missing?
When I have the Navi connected (which uses de&f), and the Phone which uses (ab&c) i CANNOT hear the phone out of the speaker audio.

The navi audio is supposed to "voice" over the audio source
that is playing... So if you are listening to the radio the audio level drops as she says right turn blah blah blah. My understanding with S-II is that when the phone is in use the Navi is totally muted.
You will have to code your stereo with VAG to let it know you have a phone and Navi.
