Default How to get the Virtual Cockpit Google Maps to work in Sri Lanka

Hi, I知 from Colombo, Sri Lanka. I知 hoping to import an Audi A4 from UK. I checked virtual cockpit on an Audi A4 here in Sri Lanka, and in that car the google maps wouldn稚 zoom in to the country. I understand that it is because SL maps are not loaded. Is it possible to get the SL maps loaded by an over the air update process or something like that to the Audi? Would the SIM card slot work for a SIM card from Sri Lanka in a vehicle brought down from UK? I would really appreciate some input from anybody who knows about this. Thanks.

Did you figure out how to? I inserted a sim xar to the car, it gives wifi access but it doesn't seem to help with the google maps loaded on the car...

The OP never returned to the forum after making this post in April of 2018. So I would be surprised if he responds.

The SIM card in the new B9 is only useful for in car WiFi. Nothing else. The MMI doesn’t work off the SIM card like it does in my A7.

Here are some things to try:

1. Register in my.audi.com using your VIN
2. Contact your dealer in UK and ask him to confirm you as the owner
3. Try to download the desired map via the site to an SD card
