iphone interface

the iphone works fully with the OEM bluetooth box.
It doesn't seem like its fully functional now but it did say they were working on the ipod controls but you'd need MMI on your car though.

This is just the cradle
All it does is charge your 1st gen iPhone (iPhone 3G doesn't fit) and make the phone use the external GSM antenna. Functionality is limited to whatever you can get now using the OEM Bluetooth (in fact even with the cradle the iPhone still connects via Bluetooth to the phone interface). No iPod control whatsoever, not even audio. The text is very misleading on the capabilities of this "interface".

Can it be hooked up to iPod player
I am looking to get to swap out the 6CD changer and go for the iPod, are there any problems with this? I like the fact that it charges my phone and also I won't have car charger cables hanging out of my power sockets. If you can't control the iPod with this, can it still be hooked up to the iPod audio and then work in that way?

I just received my 3G iPhone and am having a problem.
The mic and speaker work fine, but I notice that I don't see any of my favorites as dialing options using MFSW. I only see the four AT&T numbers that were probably on the SIM.

Got my answer from Apple
Currently no way to tell the iPhone what can and can not be synced via BT.
This might be a BT Profile change that needs to take place. More info about iPhone BT posted below.
Typically the system in the car may have some settings for this or could require a software update to work better with iPhone.
As far as if and when will there be a fix no one can tell. But I do encourage you all to post feedback to the link below the BT information link.

Submit feeback

Re: Now it just imported ALL of my contacts into the BT. Can it be set to do only the favorites?
Can you tell me how you managed to get your contacts imported - I cannot access the phonebook at all.
Thanks
