Nav+
So I'm assuming swapping my stock 6-disc changer for the Nav+ will mean that I'll need to buy a seperate 6 disc changer for the trunk or glove compartment if I want to still play cds right? Also, does the Nav play MP3 cds? Sorry for the questions.. I'm very new to this. Thanks.

Yes...
if you are talking about the B7 DVD Navi plus. But I would recommend to give the SD cards a try first. Most have found that they don't need the changer anymore. And if you do you can always play a audio CD in the DVD drive (although navigation at the same time is not possible). The CD changer plus new glovebox plus harness runs about $700-800. You can buy a lot of SD cards for that money...

Re: Yes...
SD Cards? Lke the kind that go in Digital Cameras? I'm not sure how that works so you'll have to fill me in. As for the DVD/CD drive, how do you access it? I'm guessing the face must flip up or something. Also, how would I go about setting it up so that I can play DVD movies on it? Thanks again.

Some facts...
The RNS-E has two slots for SD or MMC cards, up to 8GB total or about 900 songs, displays artist and title on the RNS-E and DIS. The slots are behind the screen, together with the DVD-ROM which also reads audio or MP3 CD-ROM/-RW. For DVD movies you would need an external player and 3rd party adapter. Search AudiWorld for RNS-E or visit www.navplus.us and search there.

2GB vs 4GB cards...
iirc you've mentioned the 4GB had a max number of songs after which the RNS-E would not read additional ones... probably around 450 songs based on your posts...
do you remember by any chance what's the max number you can fit on a 2GB card?
TIA!

Re: 2GB vs 4GB cards...
The number is the same I guess. Since I'm usually ripping songs with 192k I didn't touch the limit on the 2GB card (I filled the card with 370 or so songs when it went full).
