Default No NAV for 2004 AR????

My husband and I are getting our Allroad soon (being shipped) and it is a 2004 with the symphony II with 6cd changer in dash. He called the Audi parts dept today and the guy there told him there was no nav for the 2004 Audi??? Is this true? I find it really hard to believe. Also this guy was pretty rude with my husband, wanting to get off the phone quick etc. Can anyone shed some light on this for us? I really appreciate it! Ashley

Default There was Nav for 2004... but CD based unit in the trunk.

The one you want is the RNS-E and it was not officially available in the USA on the 2004 AR.

Once you read this and install it, take your car by the dealer and ask him why they lied to you on the phone...

Click and scroll down to the section on 2002-2004 A6/allroad

Default One more question....

Is the RNS-E something I can get from the dealer? The parts guy says he doesn't have it.

Default Dealer can order the part, but they will not likely want to install it.

Clairparts has probably the best deal for a new unit. I bought mine from them many months ago. navplus.us site has all the information you need to do the install yourself.

Default full maximum dealer retail... sounds about right

You can easily get a euro unit converted to US for about half.
