Default Onstar after end of 2007

Sorry to open this up again, but I am new to these forums and indeed new to Audi, having just purchased a CPO 2002 A6. The car I purchased has Onstar, which I activated and is working just fine. However in doing so I found out about this cessation of service after the beginning of 2008, and the fact that Audi apparently have no plans to offer an upgrade to a digital phone so that the service can continue.

Now this may seem simplistic, but I and many others with newer Onstar equipped Audis have a new or CPO bumper to bumper warranty which will still be in effect in 2/2008. Can we simply not turn the car in for "repair" to the telematics system??? Any lawyers out there who care to answer.

Meantime, thanks for this great resource. I suspect in practice I'll be converting to Bluetooth and these forums are a treasure trove of expertise.

Default Bluetooth switch from OnStar is a super easy conversion in the A6. Assuming you have RNSE or MFSW.

If you install them both at the same time - you can use the already installed microphone and GPS antenna.
