Default Parrot Bluetooth with steering wheel control

2004 Allroad, with Bose, OnStar (defunct) and CD based Navigation. Looking to install a Parrot CK3000 BT module with their steering wheel interface. Wondering if anyone has done this already. Parrot says it will work, but reading many threads on various bulletin boards, I have my doubts. This seems to be a Euro application that hasn't yet completely caught on in the states. I'm not particularly interested in cutting open wiring harnesses (it's too cold & I'm too old).

I did speak with the vendor mentioned in the excellent post several days ago, (installed in a later model A4). They (Parrotkits.com) said the Allroad will not work.

Thanks in advance, any advice is appreciated!!
