phone book upload issues
so sorry if this is a repost, but I couldn't really find a solid answer in the archives. I have the Verizon RAZR V3c and although it integrates with my Nav+ and BT fine for calls and such, the car tells me that, "the phone book is empty." If I go to the phone book in the TEL menu, all my numbers are there, though. Also, when receiving a call, the number only shows up, not the name under which it's saved in my phone. I checked Audi USA's site and it said that the phone IS compatible with their system, so what gives? Am I just missing something? I know Verizon disables a degree of their phones' BT connectivity, so is this just another part of their machinations?
TIA

When does it say "The phone book is empty"?
As for number showing up instead of name, I used to have that problem too until I removed the leading country code "1" from my phone book entries.
However, as far as I know your problems shouldn't have anything to do with Verizon crippling the BT functions.

if I use the voice recognition function with the "phone book" command
...the computer's responds saying that the phone book is empty. As for the country code, I don't have that in my phone book entries, either.

I have the 2007 disc for the Nav+ but as for phone version I'm not sure
Verizon updated my software in November and gave me the most updated version (allegedly). I left my phone at home today so I can't check it right now but I can take a gander later. I just got the '07 Nav disc, too, so it should be the most updated software...

It's not always VZW's fault (see my sig. re:MMI), but...
you might be SOL. Check the phone's software version against Audi's supported list, not just the model.
I think VZW made major changes with the phone OS for the Razr since their initial release, especially around the UI. It might be that in this case newer isn't necessarily better.
