Question on the operating controls of BNS-d NAV on an '01 Allroad
I've purchased my 2nd Allroad. It has the '01 factory BNS-d NAV w/ Sym I. Unlike my '02 AR it does not have the "menu" button between the front seats and below the mirror adjustment **** (by the NAV selecton buttons). Could it be that one of the four NAV control buttons is broken and not allowing me to get into the DIS?
The car does not have heated seats, 6disc or MFSW. It does have a 3rd row seat, leather, sunroof and HID lights. I was hoping it had TPS and went to check on the "menu" button allows access to options on the DIS. This car has a blank piece of plastic with no button.
Does anyone know if this is typical for this model year? Does it mean that '01 model year Allroads did not have the "menu" button to access the DIS if they did not come with TPS? I am assuming the speed warning chime must be set through the gauge cluster.
Any input is welcome.

2001 Allroad
I had the factory Nav unit in my 2001 AR and it had a menu button, I removed all of it and upgraded to the RNS-E system days after I bought the car. Might be that someone tried to install the navigation afterwards. Is the option on the original paperwork from the dealer? Wish I could help more, check with your dealer.
