Are the TEL inputs on Symph I line-level?
I just picked up a Parrot CK3100 to install in my 2000 A4 w/o Bose. I did a test install, and everything worked plug-n-play out of the box.
However, the sound comes out of both front speakers and I would prefer just the left, and also has a very slight hiss.
I'm thinking if I rewire the orange and red wires to the TEL + and - inputs, I will then only get the sound out of the left speaker (or right depending on how it is set in the radio), but this probably won't take of the hiss.
The CK3100 also has thin brown and green wires, which are line-level output, and do not use the mini-amp from the CK3100, which I think is where the hiss is coming from. If I wire these line-level wires to the TEl + and -, will this work?

YES. Tested it myself.
I went ahead and temporarily wired the thin green and brown line-level wires from the CK3100 to the TEL + and - on the radio and it worked as expected.
The sound only came out of the left speaker, and I did not have the hiss sound that I had before.
I am now going to go by Audi and get the correct plug and wires to wire up to the TEL plug on the back of the radio.
I do not have Bose, but understand most that do have Bose cut the orange and red wires coming from the CK3100 and conect those to the TEL + and - inputs. I would reccomend using the thin green and brown wires since that will give you a clearer sound, and they are already loose wires so no need to cut the orange and red wires.
