Telephone is not Activated
After many months and visits to the dealer, I finally got the bluetooth to connect to my phone. I got the proper cradle, the BTUM powers up and my blackberry pairs with the BTUM. All is great, right? No, all is not great.
I still get the message on my MMI "The telephone is not activated", please visit your Audi Dealer.
During the process of getting all of this to work, my dealer replaced the Telematics unit and my cradle to get it to work as far as I have it now. But they don't seem to understand that I am trying to get my phone to work though the MMI, mic, and speakers.
Someone on another board told me that I need the car programed through VAG-COM, and them pointed me to the ross-tech site. But I have no idea how that works or what to do next. If I new what to do, I would take my car to another dealer to get it fixed. As a matter of fact, if someone could point me to a dealer in the Balt/Wash area, I would be most happy.
My specs:
Audi 2004 A8L
NAV
Media Version: USA_09900_2319
Databank version: 2024/20070125020917
CAR-Version

I do suspect that the MMI software is very old.
