What do I need to do to get my Phonebook to download?
I bought a BMW Bluetooth Upgrade module kit for CPT9000 equipped cars to use in a 2002 Audi A6 4.2L with a Motorola Handsfree phone Installation System for vehicles equipped with Telematics by OnStar v.60c/v.60t cradle, Part # 8E1 862 407A, Serial # 000054912. I am using a Motorola Razr V3m with Verizon Software version NEWC_01.09.02
The units (V3m and BMW BTUM) Pair fine; I can use the steering wheel controls and voice commands to place and receive calls. Most everything works great...
However, I cannot get my Phonebook to download.
I tried re-Pair several times and I tried holding the BTUM button for about one second and then waited 2-3 minutes several times, per the BMW BTUM instructions.
I even tried all of the above with my wife's LG enV phone.
My V3m is on BMW's list of approved phones. It looks like I even have the same Software version as what BMW tested. "Software tested: Newc_01.05.0A, 01.09.02"
What do I need to do to get my Phonebook to download?
Please help,

Re: What do I need to do to get my Phonebook to download?
I would like to ask if you purchased the module from the BMW dealer? And this worked fine out side of the phone book? I was told the BMW unit does not work, but I would like to get my 2002 A8 set up. I also have the same V60c/V60t with the Audi telematic. For your question on the phone book, I was told by a person that claims to reprogram them for audi cars you can not use the phone book. But this same person never delivered his product. So I would not take his word. If I could set mine up we could see if my phone book works or not. Please help!

Yes, I boiught the module from a BMW dealer. I paid $300. The dealer was nice enough to let me try it in my car before I bought it and I confirmed the voice commands and everything except downloading the phone book worked.
One thing I heard about the phone books is you can only have home, business and mobile numbers. I have email addresses in mine and I am going to try eliminating those and see if that works. I will let you know. Good luck!

Re: What do I need to do to get my Phonebook to download?
Hello!
I have purchased the BMW BTUM and it does conect with my mobile phone. But, the car still does not work with it. I push the talk buton on the steering wheel and dial a number. Then it just says no more units remaining. My understanding is that it still gives Onstar priority so it must not see the bluetooth. Can any one help?
