Austin area DIY help with timing belt
I'm getting a new-to-me A6 Avant (99) and am heavily considering changing the timing belt myself based on reading this guide: https://www.audiworld.com/tech/eng.html
The only part I'm concerned with is the actual swapping of the TB. I am looking for somebody to basically hold my hand through that part, which I estimate taking an hour or so at most.
Everything else for this job looks straight forward, I'm just a little nervous about making sure I mark the cam gears and all that properly.
I'm looking to start this job in about the middle of January.

Re: Austin area DIY help with timing belt
I have an 01 Avant that has a bit of maintenance piling up on me, and have been telling myself for months I need to get started on some of it.
I think helping you get yours done will be good motivation for me to get some of the nigglers done on mine; like A/C and left control arm/boot/area leaking irritating issue thing.
If you'd like my help (short on tools, sorry) but have LOTS of mechanical/car repair experience, mostly from my younger years; let me know when and I'd love to assist where possible.

thanks justin ..
I just got the Bentley the other day and will be order the TB kit and renting the tools from blau, so will everything I will need. It would be nice to have an extra set of experienced eyes if you want to come by. I will probably start it two weekends from now (24th).

If you want to come check it all out, you're welcome to come by. I will hopefully start re-assembly tomorrow night or the next night.
