Stopped by Reisu Motorsports Monday....
Need a place to fix my lifeless S4 when I can tow it back to Houston from Central N Mexico.
Seemed like a good Guy, good shop and not too far from my Work on I-10 so I can keep current on its ressurection.
Can't decide to keep the car or sell it when it is all fixed (oil leak, drivetrain vibration and limp mode-sensor? issue).

No particular question.....but your comments are welcome! and hey -
Here is an easy question for you....
If I decide to sell my S4..sould I get it professionally detailed before listing it for sale?

U probly saw my 01ar on lift, Raudel is doing StageIII conversion, been there 3 weeks now
When I stopped by yesterday, he said he was waiting on a wastegate hose and clamp, (damn dollar waiting on a dime, but better to be safe than sorry) really hope he will have it done by Friday. If you look down a few posts you can see where I was looking for a good indy last December, and he got the most votes. This is my first time dealing with Raudel, he seems nice and knowledgeable, and other than taking as long as it has (bear in mind it's not necessarily Raudel's fault, ordering parts over the holidays, UPS men that don't show up, etc.), overall I am pleased. In taking this "extra" time we have found some other items that needed to be addressed (let's face it, it is pretty much guaranteed that there will be other items that need attention but do not make themselves apparent unless they are looked for, or they have been going on long enough to drip, smoke, smell or whatever; I.E. cam seals, valve cover gskts, motor mounts, coolant resivour, after run coolant pump, etc.) And in this case, I was unaware of the leaks listed above, probably in part because I clean the engine compartment on a regular basis, and I did not notice any smell or smoke coming from those leaks. But I definatally did not miss the smoke and smell when the passenger side Turbo crapped out :^)

Yep..saw your car. Engine looks CLEAN now. I have leaks to address as well
Sure would be easy to get to if my engine was sitting on a bench!
But is isn't and I am 62 with a BAD back. I will let him have a go at it when I retreive the car from NM.

in the future, but not now. need some suspnsn wrk 2, also 2 many othr thngs kill'n my pct book.
Between IKE, popped turbo's, the holidays & HCAD/school dstrct and cvc asoc. taxs (legalized extortion) my wallet looks more like Mother Hubbard's cupboard lately. I like the TIP in some respects, but I do miss rowing through the gears, and with the power capabilities of the stage III kit, a 6 SMT would probably be a good move. There is a post on the ar forum not 2 long ago where a member made the swap for about 4K, which is do-able. I saw some of the earilier ones where it cost them 6-8K, that's gettin' ugly. especially since this StageIII work will cost pretty much what blue-book value is for the ar. Yes mine is clean, and for the most part in very good shape, but let's face it, there are enough idiots on the road to stack the deck against you, and insurance is going to pay as little as they can get away with. Time will tell.
By the way, Ur wrk done 2 yrs ago, what kinda milage on the kit, is it your daily driver, weekend warrior, out of town car, etc.

true, but I still have a hard time look'n @ her in that condition
this is the second time for turbo's, and even though I spun a wrench professionally for 12 years as an auto mechanic, this was more than I wanted to get into on my back with the car strewn all over the garage.
Wish you the best on your car.
