"Flywheel Effect"
I've only had my 180TTQ for about one week now, but I'm noticing that the revs don't drop fast enough on upshifts. It's not conducive to quick shifts at all...
I seem to recall some magazine article referencing this behavior as well - wondering if others here have seen this, whether the cause if mechanical or electrical, and if there's workaround?
Cheers,

I noticed it too....
And agree that I've heard it is deliberately tuned into the car, as a tactic for keeping the turbo spooled up and thus minimizing turbo lag.
I, too, could live without this "feature". I find it makes it difficult to match revs during quick downshifting. I have learned to anticipate it, but I think its a gimmick to mask the feel of a small engine--and I would rather the engineers had decided to celebrate the small engine instead.
