"My car came chipped from the Dealer" UPDATED!

i found an apr pamphlet in my glovebox the day after i got my car from maplewood imports. i wasnt sure if my car was chipped or not, but i was looking on the apr website and noticed that i have the emcs pamphlet and i read on the website how to switch programs and so i tried it and my check engine light blinked for setting the programs. i have stock, performace, 100 octane, and valet. i believe this is pretty expensive. so i guess i lucked out. i was going to buy one anyways, but not the emcs one. also, is it true that the apr ones arent detected by dealers? i would imagine this is true since they sold a car with a chip.

I bought my 98 A4 new with a MTM chip installed before delivery
The dealership even had a chipped A4 demo car. The dealership has since changed ownership.

And since Audi has come down on chips, you won't see that anymore. I remember taking
demo rides with chipped cars, even though I did not know it until later. In fact, my TT demo ride was a chip (they did not tell me), and when I took delivery from another dealer, I was very disappointed. So -- had to get tuned.
