I run the APR spec plugs for Stage 3 -- #PFR7B (1 heat range colder than stock)
As of late, I have not driven the car consistently. Nor do I drive it long distance. My theory is that I quickly fouled the plugs this winter.

BUT, this was only half the problem and made it a little tricky to diagnose.
The throttle body was not aligning and throwing a code.
<i>17987 - Throttle Actuator (J338): Adaptation Not Started</i>
I had a spare throttle body which also would not align. Troubleshooting continues...
...After much scouring the net I found that a sequence of events needs to take place before the car will start. A crucial part of the sequence is reading the coolant temp. The throttle body will not align without that reading. Strangely I did not get a coolant temp sensor code and it was even recently replaced. I gave it a shot anyway and popped a new coolant temp sensor in. Bing -- no more throttle body code and it let me do an alignment. I dropped the new plugs in and the car started right up. I back out of the driveway a bit and roll the window down a tad on the drivers side and I hear a nasty *snap*.
The saga continues in the <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/1831137.phtml">above post...</a>
