*sigh* was stuck in traffic today w/ malfunctioning rad fan. 103 ambient temps...
the temp gauge ranged from one tick to the hot side, to *just* past 2 ticks.
I had the a/c running until i saw that it was a losing game, cranked the CC to "HI" and dropped the windows and the temp gauge dropped to one tick to the right midline.
Question is, how much should i expect to be dinged for a compression test? should i just have the gaskets replaced?
Does running at 2 ticks to the right of midline at stop and go speeds call of a rebuild sooner/later?
I guess i want to know how much damage i may have caused.
I babied it till i got home, after a night drive (94deg ambient) it dont hear any differences in engine noise.
I am a bit nervous...

mine idles at +105 or more in the hot.
i've seen 110.. it's not a big deal. you're fineeeeeee
it's totally normal to see the car heat up in traffic... get the lower temp fan switch if it worries you. that one kicks on at 94, not 104
