A rose by any other name....
is still a Station Wagon!! ;-)
I know a lot of people love em, including people I know personally. Maybe it's the time I grew up in or some repressed childhood memory but the sight of an Avant or Station Wagon or whatever ya call it still gives me chills, and not in a good way.
I may need professional help. lol

Just say No to Minivans
But with 3 kids I am a member of the SUV crowd.
It probably comes from the days when all my friends parents had station wagons and my Dad drove home one day in a Red full sized Cargo van. The van didn't have any windows except for the 2 in the front doors, he had to use a folding chair to sit in on the drive home, basically nothing else in it. We built it up with full carpeting, 4 swivel captains chairs, a couch in the back that folded into a bed, fridge, spot for 2 tables, even a 7" or so black and white TV.
We drove that van to the Black hills, to Disney World, just about everywhere and it was a blast. I remember sneaking into Drive-In movies underneath the couch in the back.
I can still remember my Dad marking the window template on the side and seeing him cut a big hole in the side of the van to install windows. No turning back then!

In fact the father of all SUVs, the Suburban, started life as a wagon. Sorry, you loose. :^P
I'll take the S4.
