01' 225 HP Coupe Driver Window Motor / Regulator Question
Appears motor is bad. Pulled motor out and the regulator wire appears "mis-aligned" on the rotating "drum" where the motor gear inserts into. Is there a wire winding procedure ? Or I'm screwed and need a new regulator too ?
Found a great DIY:

What appears "misaligned" is normal. Usually there is a lack of lubrication in the male gear on the motor and on the cable(s). So all U hear is a faint click and no up and down of the windo.
U can test the motor for operation up/down as below while you have the motor unbolted and off.
Lube with white grease as necessary cables and mating gears and replace motor. One of the cable connectors you took apart controls the rotation of the motor and you can test use a VOM to see what happes at what wire wnen the window button is pressed and duplicate the effort at the connector.
That link you show is detailed...too bad it in in the kings english. The motor is not cheap...and they do die from lack of lube and then stress.
