01 225QC would not start
The other day my 01 225QC would not start. The car would crank but never kick over. The FP relay tested fine and the filter was replaced about 10k miles ago. I had the car towed to my mechanic and it started right up the next morning. While I was expecting to see a speed sensor code, the car did not record any faults whatsoever. I took the car from my mechanic and it has worked fine since. I think that the issue may be with the fuel pump. When turning the ignition key to the OK setting prior to the engine cranking, I can clearly hear the pump prime the system. Is it normal to be able to hear the pump or is this indicative of a failing pump?

May be the Engine Crank Sensor...
Same thing happened to my car several months ago...
Would turn over but never catch.
As for the fuel pump, you should hear it prime. if there is pressure in the fuel line then it will not prime... if that answers your question.
If I'm wrong, hopefully the people that are still here will chime in
Good luck.
