I have now had my car, a silver 225Q roadster (prem/bose/nav) for two weeks, so I thought I should give any wannabes an update.

First, the car is fantastic, the acceleration is pretty darn good (my other car is a Saab 95 Aero so I am used to a 4cyl turbo), I have now completed 1000 miles, with out any major faults (Passenger seat rattles a bit, which they will look at on the first service).

Observations:

(1) Every one looks at you, which is a bit disconcerting at first, but you get used to it.
(2) Lots of people stare at the car when you park it, I am very glad I live in a low crime area, as I think I would get pretty paranoid about someone stealing (or hitting) it.
(3) The Bose unit is ok, I guess that next time I would get a 3rd party unit, but the Bose does the job, just.
(4) The Nav unit is good for long distance routes, you still need to plan, but at least it reminds you of the junctions so you can concentrate on the drive. However, it seems to be ‘out’ by about 300 feet south south-east, which causes BIG problems in towns. I am going to get it looked at by Audi.
(5) Does anyone use the cup holders ?? They are positioned back so far that they cannot be used, and I knock my coffee with my elbow when I drive.

All in all, a great car, truly a work of art, that performs far beyond my driving ability. Only down side is the fact that all the local police seem to follow me around…..

Great site for a great car. BTW: Had a chat with a Boxter owner, who loved the car, so they are not all bad (grin) !!
