10K sch. maintenance coming up. Anything to watch out for?

If you're going to have them use synthetic, take it with you, or atleast call ahead of time
to see what their charge is - my dealer is VERY reasonable (~$17 surcharge for M1). The details of the service are as outlined in your service manual - it's really no biggy. If you are VERY particular about things, ask them not to wash it.

I prefer to do it myself because I respect my car and detail it with care...
Folks washing it at a service place could give a rat's @ss....
I prefer...clean nylon free towels...my cleaning products...etc etc. They just want the job done.
