Default 1400 miles, 24 hours, 10 red bulls, $200 gas, 10^4 mutilated bugs...

...later, finally done with towing the damn car. never thouhght i'd say it, but i'm SICK OF DRIVING! bakersfield is about 300~350 miles from where i live. i did the roundtrip last Wed, and again today. the big dodge ram i was driving got a whopping 9mpg. freeway, local, uphill, downhill, trailer or not, still 9mpg. them V10s do the ozone good eh? oh no! i'm starting to TALK lke the ppl from bakersfield....

anyway, here are some hi-lites:

two hot blondes in the front seats. was entertaining for a few miles =D

(parallel parking one of these things is a true test of manhood)

arrived to pick up the car around 430. everything packed, hitched, and ready to go around 530. found out they lost my adaptor so i couldnt plug in the trailer lights. bad news considering i'd be driving all night. went to the local uhaul (after several wrong turns), and OF COURSE< the one adaptor they dont have is the one i need. nice guy jerry-rigged somethin for me, only to short some wires and blow my brakelight fuse. off to autozone. found the fuse, working brakelights....but the uhual moron wired the trailer lights incorrectly. one brake light worked, few running lights, one turn signal... by this point, it is 8pm, i say f'it, let the cops pull me over, and leave. didnt get pulled over tho, luckily.

quick shot of the muffler (while i was waiting for the uhaul guy to help me).

wow... it has been 2 months since i really started "working" on this project, and about 4 months since i got the notion. maybe, just MAYbe, my car might run this week? hehe, nah, i'm sure something will come up or parts wont arrive =)

bedtime. still gotta take my car up to berkeley tomorrow... gnite forum!

Default Well! Obviously the TT fits quite well on a Uhaul trailer....

i was told it wouldn't load/unload from the trailer for scraping the undersides of the front/rear fascias.... did you have trouble getting on and off the trailer?

Default actually, mine wouldnt' make it up from a flat road

because i'm so low (dropped 2"). Had to have the trailer ramps elevated about 6" (eg, sidewalk or drivway), or else be on a downslope in order to get the car on/off. a stock (or even lowered 1") TT should make it up no problem.

why in tarnations would you want to haul such a lovely car unless it didn't run????

Default ugh, no pics. it was off the lift before i got pics

and the lift at Tomas was full. i'm so damn tired and strressed from dealing with a full-time job, this car project and classes getting underway that i really think i'm gonna let the guys at Tomas handle the last leg of the project. I'm sick of calling up vendors daily, wrestling to get parts. =T

i promise i'll get pics by the end of the week tho.
