Default 17 vs 18

So the time has come to upgrade my factory wheels. Any opinion on the merits (weight, looks, etc.) of 17" vs 18"?

I put 17's on after vacillating between those and 18's. The car's my daily driver, so thought that was the right choice after considering all the comfort, economic, dynamic trade-offs. In retrospect, should have gone with the 18's because they simply look better on the car. Call me shallow, sometimes you've just got to go for looks.

I went with 19s and have no regrets. Bigger just looks better. Ride quality is still excellent.

I went with a staggered set up for summer - 18 x 8 (225/40) and 18 x 9 (265/35).

15 mm spacer in front, 8 mm spacer in the rear.

They look good and perform just fine. Nice wide, aggressive stance.
