I'm sure this question has been asked countless times, however is the 225hp TTQC worth the extra greenbacks? Would an APR chipped 180hp TTQC be a nice compromise, based on price? I am on a budget and do not want to pay over $40K for my next car. I have had fleeting thoughts of a 180 FWD TTC with premium package only, and a possible aftermarket stereo, plus an APR chip. Would chipping a FWD TT, be asking too much from the front wheels?

Also, there seems to be quite a few folks with horrible 5-spd shifting issues. Has this problem been solved on the '01? Is it better to simply wait another year (so I can save more dinero) and buy the 225hp TT? Thanks for any comments.

if u ask me...my suggestion is 225qc whit no doubt.

I have tested both. Go for the 225. The extra power is evident and the 6th gear more fun.
