Default 1st Post 03 FWD R Suspension Question

First let me say I'm not a mechanic. I bought a 03 roadster FWD that has 3 broken coil springs. I would be very happy to get a full set of 4 OEM springs but have been told they are not available. My research suggests getting lowering springs may cause a alignment problem/irregular tire wear. I also do not know how many miles this car was driven with the broken springs. The car itself has 84k on it. The shop I brought it to wanted $1,300 to install just 4 lowering springs which seemed excessive. I also had to do pads and rotors all around and front tires and one of the low beams doesn't work. So I'm going broke before I can get the car inspected/road legal.
I love the car and just want a smooth slightly sporty feel for mountain roads as I live a stone's throw from some fine ones.
I know there are guys/gals on this sight that have dedicated their careers to auto mechanics and as a tradesman myself (printer) I can relate to that dedication. So I'm asking you folks to please share your knowledge. What do you suggest? Should I get struts and shocks at same time? I'm guessing thew labor hours would be higher?
Thanks in advance,
Casey
